WTC VoIP ~ Cutting the Cord on Your Phone!

Looking to save money on your home phone service? Some people are doing this by cutting the cord and going totally wireless.  However, that is not an economic or practical solution for the majority of households.  Not having to worry about cell phone batteries running out and even locating the phone in a busy home are all valid reasons to hang onto that local phone cord.

A new option is now available and becoming viable for more and more people that might just make you cut the cord.  Technically called VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol), it is simply the use of your highspeed internet connection to make phone calls instead of the traditional phone company's wired network.  It is the use of digital technology instead of analog --- and is not all that dissimilar to the transition that has been going on in the wireless industry over the past 10 years.

Internet calling started out as primarily PC to PC or PC to phone, and some of those services still exist.  However, most people don't want to make phone calls from their PC, but VoIP lets you make and receive phone calls the same way you do today, albeit for much less money and with many more bells and whistles.

VoIP (or Voice Over Internet Protocol) is the new way to make and receive phone calls. WTC Communications converts your phone calls into data that zips through your high-speed Internet connection. The big advantage with VoIP is that you can call anywhere at anytime for less money. And it's better than your traditional line because it expands the power of your phone.

VoIP works with any touch-tone phone, corded or cordless. You can speak through a computer too with an enabled Softphone. Either way you can make calls to any phone on Earth. The person you're calling doesn't need to have VoIP or an Internet connection on their side. Of course, if they do have WTC Communications’ VoIP, your calls to them will be free. An adapter is sent (free of charge) when you sign up for service. Setup is easy; it’s Plug & Play.
