
Beginning May 1, 2016, WTC will no longer
support ColdFusion 5 or ColdFusion MX versions 6, 7 or 8.
Adobe has recommended users upgrade to
the newest version of ColdFusion MX to maintain better performance, increased
security, greater reliability and support for modern web standards.
Users
that that have websites coded using ColdFusion 5 or ColdFusion MX 6, 7 or 8 are
required to upgrade to the newest version of ColdFusion MX before May 1, 2016. Failure to upgrade may result in issues with your live website(s).
If your website uses ColdFusion 5,
please do the following prior to May 1, 2016:
- Update your site code to
use the latest version of ColdFusion MX. You may need to edit some of the CF
functions in your code using the latest version.
- Once your code has been
updated, you will need to update to ColdFusion MX in your hosting account. Access
the Windows Services manager application in your account Control Panel or
Portal, click to disable ColdFusion, and select ColdFusion MX. Once you
re-enable ColdFusion MX, your website will be using the updated version of
ColdFusion MX. Be sure to check your website after updating to ensure it is
performing as expected.
If your website uses ColdFusion MX 6, 7 or 8, please do the following prior to May 1, 2016:
- Update your site code to
use the latest version of ColdFusion MX. You may need to edit some of the CF
functions in your code using the latest version.
- Once your code has been
updated, you will need to update ColdFusion MX in your hosting account. Access
the Windows Services manager application in your account Control Panel or
Portal, click to disable ColdFusion MX, and enable it again. Once you re-enable
ColdFusion, your website will be using the updated version of ColdFusion. Be
sure to check your website after updating to ensure it is performing as
expected.
